"Exporting is just selling!"
This is one of the sayings of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Viet - CEO of Vietgo Co., Ltd. to motivate suppliers who are taking their first steps to export their products.
Many suppliers ask the question “How long does it take to successfully export an order? A month, six months, a year or many years? " It took only one month for MT Import-Export Co., Ltd to close the order.
2020 was a year full of fluctuations for the world economy due to the significant impact of the Covid 19 epidemic. Mr. Q is the representative of MT Import-Export CO., LTD, a trading company specializing in coal import and export. He reserved the Inquiry service package of Vietgo because of the epidemic. When Mr. Q re-activated the service package, the situation was temporarily stabilized. He started contacting customers about two products: coconut charcoal and sawdust pellets.
Talking about the transaction Mr. Q shared with us:
On January 28, 2021, after receiving the information of the order for coconut charcoal exporting to Brazil, capturing the urgent need of the customer and with the support of Vietgo’s customer service staff, Mr. Q quickly contacted and worked immediately with the customer.
On February 4, 2021, the two sides had deeply transacted with each other. Mr. Q’s offer was accepted by the customer, and company was also preparing the product samples to send to them.
On February 22, 2021, the two sides reached to an agreement and signed a commercial contract. The customer paid 50% of the contract value in advance and the rest would be paid after Mr. Q's company has finished preparing the order. According to the contract, in the middle of March, 2021, Mr. Q's company would ship the goods.
In April 2021, Mr. Q's company received the balanced amount of the sale contract, the shipment is currently on the way to the port of the customer.
So in just one month, Mr. Q has successfully closed a coconut charcoal deal to Brazil which is worth VND 1.5 billion. How could he do it so quickly? Perhaps, many suppliers also are interested in this question. Mr. Q shared with Vietgo that the key point is winning the customer’s belief by using the photos of products, factory, B/Ls and especially documents such as product test result, evidences about his company's export experience. Although the jet lag between Brazil and Vietnam is 10 hours, Mr. Q enthusiastically followed, “pursued” the customer according to their time zone. In addition, before offering, he prepared carefully not only in terms of photos and certificates but also a detailed quotation of the product. This not only impresses the customer but also shows them Mr. Q's professionalism.
