Material Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

• 100% FSC-certified solid walnut

• Dark walnut heartwood dominant

• Minimal to zero sapwood on visible surfaces

• No veneer

• No MDF core

• No laminated plywood

• Kiln-dried hardwood (8–10% moisture content)

• Edge-glued full walnut panels acceptable with tight, clean joints

Dimensions:

• 18” x 12”

• 1.5” total thickness

• Tolerance ±2mm

Construction Details:

• Completely flat interior surface (no recessed lip)

• Strong soft beveled top edge (approx. 8–10mm taper)

• Micro-rounded corners (3–5mm radius)

• Clean underside shadow line

• No decorative grooves

• No farmhouse styling

Handles:

• Integrated cutout handles only

• Elongated oval or soft rectangular shape

• Fully chamfered interior

• Smooth sanding inside handle cutout

• No sharp CNC edges

• No visible hardware

• No metal or rope handles

Finish Requirements (Premium Standard):

• Natural food-safe matte oil finish only

• No stain used to artificially darken wood

• No gloss lacquer or polyurethane

• Minimum 320 grit final sanding

• Even color tone across glued panels

• No visible filler or patch repairs

The finished product must present a deep, rich chocolate walnut tone suitable for a luxury North American brand. Samples not meeting this standard will not be approved.

Branding:

• Deep laser engraving

• Placement: bottom-right side face

• Logo width: 32–35mm

• Artwork will be supplied after supplier confirmation

Packaging Requirements:

• Rigid lid & base box

• Minimum 2mm greyboard

• Tight-fitting lid (no magnetic closure)

• Matte black exterior wrap

• Small centered gold foil stacked logo

• Natural tone insert (molded pulp preferred or precision-cut foam)

• Minimal instruction card
