Black charcoal is produced by carbonizing wood biomass in a low-oxygen environment at medium temperatures ranging from 400–700°C. Unlike white charcoal (binchotan), which has a white ash coating, black charcoal retains its natural black color, has a lightweight and porous structure, low density, and ignites more easily. It is widely used for BBQ grilling, cooking, heating
